Today we are learning to write a recount.

Yesterday our school went to the love lock track for athletics.

It was very fun cause when I got there with one of the teachers and three other students we went and

we set up the cones and signs and I went and put up a sign that said go Kea and Hoiho you can do this

and then after that we got into groups.

like year 6 go to one side and year 4 and 5 go to another side and then me and the year 6’s went and we done shot put,discus and then we went and done the 100 and 200 meter run’s and I came first in the 100 meter and 200 meter but the final 200 meter I gave up because I had a bad as stitch.

Then after we did the 100 meter and 200 meter we went and we did a long jump and three boys came first and then i tried to beat them but when i jumped i fell and then after that we all went and we had morning tea.

After that we went and we did the teacher and students relay and unfortunately the teachers one and then after that we went and we took a selfie and then we all went and had a water and then after we had our water we went and we did colour run.

After the colour run finished we were just running and looking at each other because our hair was coloured and our white t-shirts were covered in colours and then we were laughing because one of the teachers got colour on them.

What I enjoyed was doing the colour run.

What my next steps are is to describe more.

DIY FRIED RICE

Today I am writing about what I made at garden to table.

 My group went to the hall and we washed our hands and the second group went to weed the garden. My group went to the kitchen and we cut all the vegetable. We cut onion and garlic and then after that we put the onion and garlic in to a electric frying pan and then we added the rest of the vegetables in to it . We put dark soy sauce and then we added Hoisin  it also smelt like BBQ sauce. After that we put three cups of rice and we all had a turn to mix it. After that we had to taste it first and then after that we added spring onion. We mixed it again and then we  got bowls and a spoon.  
We got our DIY fried rice and ate it but before we are our food we did a prayer. It tastes yummy!

After cooking my group went to the garden.  We were going to weed the garden so it doesnt grow over the vegetables. 

What i enjoyed was cooking the fried rice.

HOW I FEEL LIKE BEGING IN LOCKDOWN

Today I am writing about lockdown

I feel happy and at the same time I feel sad cause I don't get to play touch and rugby also basket ball with my friends we can only play online games with each other and also go on call with each other and the thing I'm happy about lockdown is that I get to play fortnight and go on devices and I also get to go on call with my friends and teachers but when we are not in lockdown I don't play games or go on call with my friends cause I have to do homework and also i won't be allowed to touch the devices and the other sad thing is that our family don't get to go places cause lockdown and also i am sad because our school rugby was canceled on Tuesday and then we went into lockdown on that day that's why I am sad as well but the most thing that i am happy about is that I get to stay up and also I get to spend time with my family and also cousins from Tonga and around the place and also I get to play fortnight and play outside with my sibling but the sad thing when I go to school is that there will be no one to play with my siblings and also I won't get to play games with friends I will be only aloud in the weekends and then I will not play from Monday till Friday.

What i enjoyed was playing online games

MATHS WEEK

Today we were on a site that is about maths.

Kids from Ako Hiko should go on the link Im gonna put down because it is a good example to help you with your fractions and all the other stuff that you are stuck with and you can play games in it with your parents because did you know it was maths week and that's what my class is doing we are doing quiz about stuff and there is a junior,middle,senior and also a family one so you can also play the family quiz with your family and also if you scroll down to the bottom there is a chaser quiz and also daily quiz and one of the games is for you to collect money and the other game you need to get the dinosaur to the other side and you can do this in middle school and the rest of your years.

Today we are learning how to write instructions.

HUNGER BALL:

OBJECT: Try to get the ball in to the goal.

 Step 1: So the first 6 players go into the hunger ball and then they get in to buddies and the person that takes care of the Hunger ball will say a game and then one player will defend the goal and then the other person will go and try kick the ball into the other players goal and if they get it in the people that the other team scored on they will go out and then another team will come in.

 Step 2:Then if you don't listen to the care taker of the Hunger ball everyone in the Hunger ball will get kicked out and then 6 other team's will come in and play and the rest that got kicked out will wait outside for there turn again and then if you touch it with your hand you will be penalised and then you and your buddy will have to go out.

Step 3: But if you stay in the Hunger ball when you get told to get out then you will not be aloud to go back into the Hunger ball until you apologies and then you can go back in and play with your friends.

HUNGER BALL

Today we are writing a recount.

So yesterday it was a sunny morning and we were playing in the hunger ball and we were playing different kind of games like Football,Hokey,and this End game and i kept on staying in the goal but we got told to go out cause we were not listening.

Then we went out and then me and Lincoln we went in together and we stayed in there for long and then i got the last goal and then we went outside and undo gave us some biscuits and then we had to hold a poster and then we took a photo and then we went in again  and there was 6 goals but i first went to the 1 and then the 5 and then first it was me and Lofa and then me and Lincoln.

 Then when me and Lincoln went i kicked it and it nearly broke the top of it cause i kicked the ball and then lucky it didn't and then once i kicked it it hit the top and then went strait from the top to the 1 goal and me and my group were happy cause i got it in and then Lincoln wacked the ball and he got it in but sadly we had to get out and go cause our time was finish.

Today I am writing about NZ water. I think that NZ is running out of water because some people drink and when there is a left over they tip it into the sink and they also wash the dishes and when they finish they just let the water run and wait for like 10 seconds and then they of the tap and then they take a long shower and they stay for like a min or 2 and then they get out but then after they shower they probably go and make a drink and drink and then they tip it again and also I think NZ is running out of water because when kids walk and have rubbish then the people that pick the rubbish up they just tip the water that's in the rubbish on to the floor and also when kids want to swim in there own pool and there parents on the water and leave it on until the kids finish there and then the hose runs out of water and then that's probably why were running out of water but myself I also waste water and tip it.

Today I wrote about was open day. So today I am writing about what we done today at Wesley intermediate school for open day so what we done first me and all the year 6 from our school we walked to Wesley intermediate and we went and the principle showed us around and I meet some new friends also then we went to the hall and we waited for may road school to come and then we got in to our groups  and the group were blue,black,red and green and I was in the green group and then the other groups went and done there activity and my group stayed back and done P.E. and the teacher that was teaching us was MR ball and then after that we went and we had morning tea and then my group went to cooking and what we done is we baked chocolate cookies and we ate it when we went to have lunch and then the last activity we went to was robotic and what we done there we done was we had to build our own robot but we used our Chromebook and we also controlled a big circle ball and we could drive them and me and Lincoln were playing tag with it and it keeps on falling on the floor and then we were sad cause we had to pack up and go home but before we went I got a certificate for good cooking and Lincoln got a certificate for good dribbling the ball in P.E. and then we walked back to school and we just lied there and talk until the ball went.

Today we were writing about what we noticed today at the powhiri.

What i noticed at the powhiri was that one of the ladies sang a song and then another ladie welcomed them all into the hall and then they all stood there while the school kapa haka done there performance and then they sat and then the man spoke and told us to stand and do the karakia and then we stand and we all do the karakia and then we sang a song then the kapa haka done there performance again and then our new principle old school called tamaki they stood up and done there performance and they sat and then there was a man from tamiki school that spoke and then tamaki stood up and done another performance then one of the students spoke and was so loud and then they stood up again and done another performance then mr reidi spoke and was holding his little baby then we sat there and the teachers were doing a hongi with the rest of the teachers and stuff from tamiki then tamiki done there last performance and then we left and we were playing with the tamiki people.

Today we are learning about Powhiri.

Here is my understanding of what a Powhiri is it is a Thing that you do to welcome the new guest to your school like if you have a new principle or new students and also we are gonna do a Powhiri for our new principle and also the new students tomorrow and also to welcome the new people coming in to our school and new teachers and the reason why we do a powhirir it is because we welcome our new people to our school and also to a marae but when you go and do it at the marae you have to get in order and the order was girls in the front and boys at the back and sides and there the people welcoming you will sit on the left side and the people arriving will sit on the right side but you will be welcomed from the head of the powhiri and there will be a ladie in front of the girls being welcomed and also singing a waiata and then you wait untill the head sits and then the rest of the school or guest sit and then they have people that speak and then they have a (kai) after that.

What i enjoyed was reading the stories and doing the links.

What i enjoyed was putting all of these photos on to it and also doing the fish.

Why is water important in life?

S1. Water is important because if you don't drink water in a week you will be dead and if you have water then you will be able to live your whole life and water should also be the drink that you should always drink. 

S2. Water is also important cause it can help you breath and also it can help you grow bigger and bigger and your lungs,brain will get smarter so you can be a smart learner that’s why water is important.

S3. Also if your planet that your living on does not have water you whole planet might die and also the animals but if you have food you can live for a month but you need to drink more water to drink so you can live and also your family and friends even when you go to school you should always take a water bottle instead of you walking to the water fountain.

S4. Water is an important need for all life on earth because without water most things on the planet would not survive but here are three reasons why water is important for your life.

Story about Time Zone

Today we were reading a story called Time zones.

so there was a story  about was the little boy called Carlo asking the older brother to call mum but he could not cause they don't want to wake there mum up from her sleep and the reason Carlo wanted to phone mum is that he missed her so much cause and then Carlo started laughing and said mum is not silly to sleep at lunchtime she's at work not at home you dummy that's what Carlo said and then his older brother said it is not lunchtime in Italy it is the middle of the night and Carlo was confused and the reason why Carlo and his older brother's mum was not there it was because the mum had to go to her cousins wedding and when she left Carlo was only eight years old and his older brother was ten when there mum left to Italy and they studded back at home with there dad.

Today we are writing about the site that we were on yesterday and the site can track were you are.

1.So the reason that latitude and longitude is important cause if you can see on the image there is a link to the site that you can go to it and you just type something in like where your house and also were your work or school is.

2.The link that takes you to the site it shows latitude and also it shows longitude and you can also mark were you want to go and also you can play a game with a friend and the game can be you mark somewhere and your friend has to go to the marker and wave at you to see if it is the right place.

3.Also if you go to the forest and you get stuck you can just call a friend to track your phone down or you can take the GPS out and you will see how latitude and longitude works and that how you will get out of the forest quick instead of getting stuck in the forest.

Do you have a GPS?

Today we are writing a S.A about latitude and longitude.

1. latitude and longitude is imported so if your in the sea sailing you need to yous it to get back to your house but if you don't got a GPS or you don't yous latitude and longitude  you will get lost and not no where to go.

2.latitude is a starting point that can help you to get out of places like your at the beach and your boat gets pushed away to west and you don't have a GPS to help you get out that's why latitude and longitude is imported in your life.

3.latitude and longitude is useful so when you go somewhere it will be like a GPS tracker so if you get stuck some where like in the forest the GPS can help you get out but if you don't have one then your life is there forever.

4.latitude and longitude is a describe position of any point like your home address and your school address and also if you go oversees and you don't know where to go that's why you have a GPS so if you have one you will know where your going and also were your house is or were your cousins house is.

Today we are learning to find answers to the question to the text.

1.one of the thing captain cook does is a running survey.

and also he used longitude and latitude to run the running survey also longitude and latitude are 

imaginary lines that form a grid around our planet.cook also needed latitude and longitude to chart the islands's of new Zealand.

2.latitude and longitude is a thing on the map that shows you were to go and where it is safe to drop the anchor to stop the boat from moving so cook can look at the beach with his

5.cook also need both latitude and longitude to chart the island of new Zealand and also he needed to mark the landmarks cook would plot these on his chart also these were important for him to do a running survey.

TOOLKIT

Today we are learning to write about toolkit.

Today we are writing about the toolkit that we done yesterday and also the people that were sharing there screen they were having a hard time cause there was people on the call were bullying people and also they were unmuting the mic when they were not meant to they had to mute cause when the people where sharing other people will not here what they are saying cause how there mic was unmuted and that was in session  1 in season 2 there was a lot of people just sitting there and listening to the people that were talking and also MR margets was on the call and he was tryna tell the presenters to stop but they kept on going and then the next session it was all quiet and there was no one chatting in the messages it was only if they needed to ask a question but when I went and join the kahoot call there was a lot of people talking on the call and also they were chatting and saying stuff that are inappropriate and then MR margets recorded it and also MR vega recorded it and saw all of the chat’s that were going on and also he saw people that were unmuting there mics and saying hi to there cousins and their friends from other schools.

What i enjoyed was learning how to do stuff like kahoot.
What my next steps are is to not to include people in  my story.

Today we read a story about a man that has a lot of roles.

Roles of Tupaia

Tupaia was chosen to train with the ‘arioi and also he was a person that helped to be a guard and also an interpreter and what a interpreter means is a person who 

Translates languages to people and also does sign languages to people that can't hear very well and tupaia was also using his skills as a diplomat and he would also speak on both sides like he speaks that language and then after that he speaks the other language like for an Example he speaks tongan and then he speaks samoan the other thing about his roles was that he could communicate with the indigenous people from  Australia, but the languages were too different that they could know understand what they were talking about.

Today we were reading about different kinds of stories.

Today we read stories about the British flag,HMS Endeavour and also Mercury Bay and the story i read was about the mercury bay and what read was that the boat that came they arrived at this Marae place  and there was a Maori that ran and welcomed them of the boat in November 12th 1769 to the Marae that they were standing and waiting and then another boat came from Tauranga and landed and the boat was called waka hourua Hinemoana and it was a white boat with a blue on the inside of the flag and the rest was white even the stars were white and it had black Korus on the sides of the boat.

What i enjoyed was reading and learning about when the boat that Captin cook was in landed.

What my next steps are is to make sure that i don't put down all of the articles only put down the article that i read.

Today we were listing down things to do in the Marae and things to not do.

Today I am writing a report of Tivaevae and what I read in the articles was that there is three Tivaevae in cook island and it is called Tivaevae manu Tivaevae tat-aura and Tivaevae ta ore I and there is a word called pang and it is a group of people also the bed sheets that they use is from Tahiti and also if you don’t know what Tivaevae is made for is a haircut ceremony,gift and also for a funeral to cover their coffin.

What I enjoyed was writing a lot of writing and also making my writing the right way I want it so it is not long.

What I enjoyed today was reading a book about tivaevae and also watching the video about cook island people teaching us how to make it and also how to decorate it like putting flowers on it and also putting different kind of decorations on the tivaevae but one video was a lady talking at the Auckland museum and she said one of the tivaevae is called tivaevae manu and the other one is a Patrick tivaevae and it is called tivaevae tare and also there is another one called tivaevae ore i.

Lock-down Paradise

Today we were writing a story about the google slides we done yesterday.

Yesterday we were making a google slide of were you would like to live in lock down paradise like for an example I will like to live at the beach and what I done is that I made a avatar for me and then I just added a suit and and a photo of me standing looking at the beach and then lying down under the umbrella in the sand and I just added a big towel and just sat there and just relaxed there and just looked at the beach and then what I wanted to do is to make me swim in the beach but we only got to do 1 page and then blog it but the thing that was cool was making my avatar’s face and also adding all of the cool icons like a boat,chilly bin and also a surfing board with me sitting on the beach chair just looking at the beach and drinking my coke and eating my pie with my family.

What i enjoyed was writing about the google slide that we done and also making my writing blue.
What my next steps are is to make sure that the writing I write is in a different colour.

Today I enjoyed writing about Emotions. What I found difficult was the writing cause I had to keep on changing the colours.

A Different World Living in Lock-down

Today I wrote a story about what I would do if lock-down happened again.

If new Zealand had to go back in to lock down I will be cleaning the house and even cutting the grass and also I will be doing the work that we get to do online and the work that the ministry of justice gives me and In the weekend i will play the game but on Sunday I will be cleaning the house and like cleaning my room,living room and also the bathrooms and kitchen and then I will do some work and then play the game at last then sleep and then wake up in the morning an clean and then play the game after cleaning all of the things my parents tell me to clean then after that my parents tell me to go play the game.

What Was Challenging.

Hi guys this is another snip but this is about routines like how did your family shop and what was a typical day.

My hero is…

 In the 8 weeks lock down My hero was my mum and dad  because when i wake up my mum makes me and my siblings breakfast before she goes to work and also she makes us dinner when she comes back from work and then the next day my dad made us breakfast before he goes to work as well and he also made us dinner when he gets  back from work and also in the weekend my mum and dad make us breakfast together .and then we eat and then play outside and wait till my mum and dad make us dinner and then after dinner we just play on the game and wait for ice cream with cake  or even chocolate ice blocks.

2. Also in the lock down my mum and dad cooked a pig on a spit and then we ate and then played outside and waited till my mum and dad made us desert  and then after we just played on the game and wait till my mum and dad tells us to turn the game of and go sleep so we can wake up the next day and eat breakfast and cut the grass but my mum and dad cuts it for me that's why there my hero.

What I love about in life of lock down is that I get to play games and also cut grass and have yum food like BBQ,Roast Pig and also chicken and chips but the thing I liked doing was waking up in the morning and going for a walk or a run with my cousins and siblings and then we come home and breakfast Is ready cause my mum always wakes up and makes breakfast for us when we're on our run or walk and also it was my uncles birthday so we had a pig and it was cool because my uncle bring his kids and we just sat there playing the game and my uncle,aunt,mum,dad and papa were just drinking outside and cooking the pig for us to eat and then all we heard was my papa calling us to come make something to eat and then we went and ate.

TIME CAPSULE

HI guys Today I will be writing about this snip that I took and it is about feelings like how are you felling or what was the cool thing you did  in the lock down These are the three things that I answered 1. how are you felling back at school   2. what was it like being at home for so many weeks and   3. what did you do to relax. WRITING ABOUT LOCKDOWN

LOCK DOWN DOOMS DAY.

In the lock down I was so happy cause we had a BBQ and we got to swim in the cold pool and it was cool cause i was eating a hot dog in the pool and also after that we went inside and we ate ice cream with chocolate cake and syrup then we went up stairs and we got to play Fortnight on the PlayStation and we also played on the phone.

BORED

It all started when i was sitting on the couch and watching TV  with my little cousin and all i heard from him was i'm bored and then we went outside and played on the tramp.

 Then he said he is bored again so we went back inside and started drawing and he said he was board and it got to the point that i was annoyed and i told him if your board what do you want to do and he said i want to play game and i said go then and that was the end of him.

SHOCKED

There  all the pencils came out and when it fell I jumped up out of my seat and ran cause i thought it was a bomb Then when my friends came out they said it was only the pencil jar and they started laughing and they made me laugh as well.

So we  went back in the class and the pencil jar was on the floor and the class was falling over the pencils so when the teacher came in she said what happened to my class and we said the pencil jar fell and she screamed  and picked it up.
